The brief

People want to get better at talking to each other — a first meeting, a raise, a difficult conversation with a child — and there is nowhere safe to practise. Rapport makes the practice a game: pick a scene, talk to a character, and find out afterwards exactly where you lost them.

What we did

  • Every character carries a hidden state — interest, trust, comfort — moved by each line you say
  • A debrief that names the specific moment the conversation turned
  • Progression, streaks and a leaderboard, because practice needs a reason to continue
  • A deploy pipeline that runs the whole suite before anything reaches production

Where it landed

655tests gating every deploy
3hidden variables per character
4ways a conversation can end

The score is not the point. The moment you recognise your own mistake is the point.
