The brief
Research teams were recording more interviews than they could ever synthesise. Insights lived in transcripts nobody reopened. Fieldnote had to make synthesis part of listening — not a weekend penance.
What we did
- One flow: capture, tag, pattern — no mode switches
- Keyboard-first; the mouse is optional, the flow is not
- Local-first storage with quiet sync in the background
